Verbatim’s dimmable 8.5W PAR16 GU10 range delivers up to 660lmm and comes in a choice of colour temperatures, and are 25% more efficient than the firm’s previous generation.
The firm is being good here – quoting 660 lm in a 90° cone. Total output is up to 690 lm.
“Using technology developed by Verbatim’s parent company Mitsubishi Chemical, the LED lamps achieve increased heat dissipation using a sophisticated heatsink design. Coupled with improved airflow and employing the latest chip-on-board technology, the lamps can be driven harder without overheating and offer an extended lifetime of up to 40,000 hours [to 70% initial],” said Verbatim.
Beam angle is 35° and the bulbs are aimed at high ceiling fixtures in retail, leisure and hospitality.
Size is 50mm diameter and 56mm heigh.
Delivering between 590 and 660lm, the LED lamps produce luminous intensity from 1,180 to 1,340cd at 2,700K to 4,000K.
Three of the lamps offer halogen-style dimming, and a fourth is cheaper and does not dim.
There is also a 6W family (400-450lm, 1,000-1,170cd, 2,700-4,000K).
